One of the most ancient plants existing today. It is an exotic, elegant, palm-like, evergreen cycad with an open rosette of perfectly arranged blue-green fronds up to 6ft long. They radiate out from the stocky trunk up to 16 in wide. Distinctive cones appear on mature plants and can be very large, even weighing up to 30lbs. The cones are quite decorative and resemble a pineapple. Likes gritty, well-drained soil.
