Dietes iridioides

Fortnight Lily (Morea Iris)

Named after its frequent blooming cycle in which it blooms every two weeks. While it may not always live up to its name, it often will and is indeed a very prolific bloomer nearly year round. Flowers appear on tall stalks and boast bright white petals with a dab of yellow and a light purple center. Can tolerate full sun, but may experience leaf scorching in western exposure or reflected heat.
