An excellent alternative to the much more delicate queen palm, the mule palm is both more cold hardy and heat tolerant. A hybrid between the queen palm and the pindo palm, it is a harder to find tree that is quickly becoming very popular. Small to medium sized, it is great for tight spaces or around pools. Its graceful silhouette will add a sense of tropical oasis to a hot, desert environment.
