Zamia furfuracea

Cardboard Palm

A living fossil, they belong to one of the most ancient groups of plants known (cycads). With their unusual appearance, they are especially stunning in mass plantings along shaded borders or alone in a container as a specimen. Also useful as an indoor houseplant if provided enough light. Slow growing, they are drought tolerant and require little maintenance.
