Simmondsia chinensis

Jojoba (Goat Nut)

Good for native gardens, screening, and informal hedges. The plants are separately sexed, with female plants producing hard, brown fruit from which a liquid wax is extracted for shampoos, cosmetics and other products. The acorn shaped nuts are favored by wildlife. Provide regular irrigation to speed up the normally slow growth.
