Ebenopsis ebano x Pithecellobium flexicaule

Texas Ebony

Its dark, glossy green compound leaves are arranged along thorny branches with a distinctive zig-zag pattern. Creamy yellow, fragrant clusters of flowers are followed by large woody pods. Makes a great specimen tree or barrier plant. This native of the Rio Grande plains of south Texas prefers well-drained sites.
