Passiflora edulis

Passion Fruit Vine

A very popular tropical vine whose fruit is often used for its juice, especially when combined with other fruits. Will require the support of a trellis or similar structure. Tolerates desert heat well, but avoid full afternoon sun or reflected heat. Often preyed upon by the caterpillar of the Gulf Fritillary Butterfly. Mature plants are not at risk from damage, but keep an eye out on younger plants.
